Aptitude and Knowledge Assessments

Preview skills tests for Aptitude knowledge tests for Computer, IT, Sales, Call Center and Management.

We are pleased to be associated with Walden©. Tests are administered at your offices, either in booklet format or via the Internet. Walden© will grade your tests and provide a detailed evaluation report on each candidate.

Fees vary depending on quantity ordered and the type of assessment. For larger users, site licenses are available which can bring down the cost of testing to as low as $20 per person for certain tests. Many clients find that the cost of testing is returned many times over by avoiding hiring poorly performing personnel.

Impeccable references will be provided. Fees include the ability to discuss the candidates’ results with our specialists.

  • Retail Salesperson - To evaluate the knowledge necessary for successful performance as a Retail Salesperson. This test, from which a three-page detailed evaluation report on each candidate is provided to the client, consists of instruments measuring the following:

Positions for which the test is appropriate:

  • Retail Sales Knowledge: Part A, the candidate has to answer 15 multiple-choice questions.
  • Problem Solving in a Retail Environment: Part B, contains 5 short problems that require specific answers.
  • Sales Logic: Part C, the candidate is required to follow a flowchart and answer 10 multiple choice questions.

  • Telemarketing - To evaluate the knowledge and skills necessary for successful performance as a telemarketing representative. This test, from which a five-page detailed evaluation report on each candidate is provided, consists of instruments measuring the following:
  • Verbal Communication Skills: Section 1 asks the candidate to write down as many words as he/she possibly can that match the description given. This section measures verbal fluency.
  • General Knowledge of Telemarketing Situations: Section 2, the candidate has to answer 20 multiple-choice questions.
  • Understanding of Basic Telemarketing Facts: Section 3, the candidate must answer 15 true/false questions.
  • Problem Solving in a Telemarketing Environment: Section 4, contains 5 short problems that require specific answers.

  • Aptitude Assessment Battery Programming - Measures aptitude for any programmer position. English, French, Spanish and Braille. Untimed.
  • Wolfe-Spence Programming Aptitude Test - For pre-screening. Score and percentile provided. English and French. Up to 2 hours.
  • Systems Programming Aptitude Test - Measures essential skills for software development, systems software, systems programming, database and programming maintenance. English and French.
  • Programmer Analyst Aptitude (1Hour) - Measures aptitude for work as a Programmer Analyst. For both entry-level and experienced persons. Booklet & Internet.
  • Business Analyst Skills Evaluation (1 hour) - Evaluates the candidate’s aptitude and potential for business systems analysis, procedures analysis, and user department/IT department interface. This test assumes some prior business experience, but no previous knowledge or experience in information technology. Booklet & Internet.
  • Project Leader - Project Leader Skills Evaluation (1 hour) - Evaluates all essential skills for the Project Leader position including procedural and analytical ability, and knowledge of project organization, control, scheduling and planning concepts. Booklet & Internet.
  • Computer Literacy Skills Profile - Measures the generic ability to use word-processing, numeric keyboard, spreadsheet, graphics, and database programs. Booklet, Internet coming soon.
  • PC User Aptitude Test - Deals with logic, spreadsheet, database, vendor manual interpretation and specifications. Does not evaluate programming skills. Booklet, Internet coming soon.
  • IT Analytical Aptitude -Measures aptitude and potential for analyzing business problems. Booklet & Internet.
  • IT Consultant Skills Evaluation - Evaluates technical, intellectual and supervisory skills required for a senior level IT Consultant, Data Processing Consultant or IT Trainer. 3 hours.
  • IT Manager Skills Evaluation - Measures technical, intellectual and supervisory skills required for a senior level IT Manager, Data Processing Manager or IT Trainer. 3 hours and 40 minutes.
  • Database Analyst Staff Selector - Evaluates the analytical reasoning and detail skills necessary for successful performance as a Database Analyst. 85 minutes.
  • Technical Support Staff Selector - Evaluates Win98 and WinNT, as well as logic and analytical skills required for the position. 1 hour and 20 minutes.
  • Software Engineer Staff Selector - Measures practical skills and aptitude required for the position of Software Engineer. 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • Object-Oriented Programmer Analyst Staff Selector - Measures object-oriented programming ability and you may choose either specific knowledge of C++, object-oriented theory or analytical aptitude. 2 hours.
  • Network Analyst Staff Selector - Measures basic knowledge of network components and evaluates the candidate’s problem solving ability relevant to common network problems. 1 hour and 45 minutes.
